I Am Not Rob Fullmer

I don't don a fedora hat. I don't have mutton chops. I don't own lederhosen. And I certainly don't possess Rob's extensive knowledge of craft beer.

Rob started this blog a few years back, and has grown it into one of the best beer-centric blogs in the state. His unique, thought-provoking, sometimes controversial writing style and love of all things local is what sets this blog apart from others. But Rob had to go and get his dream job as the executive director of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. And now he's asked me to take the reigns and steer the BeerPHXation ship. The nerve.

As you can probably already tell, my writing style is different. My ability to think outside the beer box isn't as keen as Rob's, but that's okay. I've asked Rob to continue adding content when his schedule permits, as I feel it's important to keep the original voice of this blog in tact from time to time. I'd also like to ask other budding, beer-loving scribes to step up and pitch in. Hit us up at beerphxation@gmail.com if interested.

Here are some things to look for in 2014...

  • A behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run Arizona's premier beer party, the Strong Beer Festival
  • A monthly Meet the AZ Brewers A-Z series
  • A travel log of trips across Arizona's beer landscape
  • An in-depth look at how Arizona beers go from fermentation to the Great American Beer Festival
  • Local beer reviews
  • And much, much more

Oh, and you might want to come back here Monday morning for a list of beers being poured at the 2014 Strong Beer Fest.

Prost!
