What in the Phoenix Beer World?

Do you know where in the beer world this photo was taken? How does it relate to Arizona beer?
The concept is simple. We post a picture that is relevant to the Phoenix area beer scene and you try and identify it. Sometimes there will be a larger story involved, but often there will not. So, for glory and a tip of the glass next time we see you. Please, no social media cheating!

In this instance, tell us precisely what this is in this picture was taken.

  1. My guess is that this is some sort of compressed nut/bark or spice that you add to a vat. The plastic container lets the flavor mix with the beer without making it all chunky.

  2. This is an infuser, and it's something that Grand Canyon Brewing has been experimenting with. It could be the toasted oak stick you're supposed to add to their Shaggy Bock, but they also sell empty "flavor bombs" that you can add put anything in and then stick in your bomber (not a vat, as the above comment states).
